#10 You’re Not Broken — You’re Just Living as Someone You Never Chose
“Most people aren’t living wrong.
They’re just living lives they never consciously chose.”
You ever wake up and wonder:
"Is this really my life—or just the one I’ve been rehearsing?"
The job.
The habits.
The discipline.
The identity.
Everything looks fine on the outside.
You’re showing up.
You’re productive.
You’re doing what you’re supposed to do.
But under the routine…
under the structure…
beneath the mask…
Something’s off.
Not broken.
Just… off.
You can’t quite name it.
But it whispers louder every day:
“This isn’t it.”
And for a while, you try to silence it—
You tweak the routine.
Change your diet.
Download a new habit tracker.
Binge another podcast.
But deep down, you know—
This isn’t a system issue.
It’s a soul disconnection.
Awareness – The Lie of the Default Life
You weren’t born into your truth.
You were born into a program.
From the moment you opened your eyes,
the world handed you a script:
“Be the smart one.”
“Be the tough one.”
“Be the responsible one.”
So you did.
You adapted.
You achieved.
You performed.
And you got really, really good at it.
But you never stopped to ask:
Is this me—or just what I was told to be?
You became high-functioning inside a role you never auditioned for.
And the world clapped louder each time you got better at betraying yourself.
Here’s the brutal truth:
Most people don’t fail by doing too little.
They suffer by doing the wrong things too well.
Action – Stop Upgrading the Wrong Avatar
Life isn’t a treadmill.
It’s a simulation.
And most people?
They’re playing as non-playable characters (NPCs)—running code they never wrote.
Wake. Grind. Scroll. Sleep. Repeat.
They don’t pause.
They don’t question.
They just keep leveling up… the wrong character.
Here’s the shift:
Don’t upgrade the level—upgrade the player.
The question that changes everything:
If you could build the real you from scratch…
What would they look like?
Not just physically.
But energetically.
Emotionally.
Spiritually.
How would they walk into a room?
How would they speak?
What would they believe about themselves?
And most importantly:
What would they let go of?
The need to impress?
The pressure to achieve?
The roles you were never meant to carry?
That’s not reinvention.
That’s remembering.
Align – Let Go to Become
Alignment doesn’t come from adding more.
It comes from subtracting everything that was never you.
You were never “the anxious one.”
You were never “the hustler.”
You were never “the one who always holds it together.”
Those were just survival roles you mastered.
But now?
You get to choose again.
You get to lay down the masks.
You get to release the false identities.
You get to build the avatar that actually feels like home.
And that…
is what The Uncommon Life is about.
Not performance.
Presence.
Not perfection.
Peace.
Not building a better cage.
But remembering your wings.
This Week’s Challenge – Design the Real You
Get quiet.
Sit still.
And ask:
What would the real me believe?
How would they move through each day?
What would they drop immediately that no longer fits?
Then take one action today that brings you closer to that version of you.
Don’t rush.
Don’t optimize.
Just reconnect.
This isn’t self-help.
This is self-reclamation.
The Transmission
You’re not broken.
You’re not behind.
You’re just remembering.
And if you’ve felt the glitch in the matrix lately—
That nudge in your chest that says, “There’s more for me…”
You’re right.
You weren’t made to survive the system.
You were made to design something new.
Tools for the Awakening

No funnel.
No pressure.
Just the frequency.
If you feel it—follow it.
Final Words
You are not your routine.
You are not your productivity.
You are not the story you inherited.
You are the architect.
So stop living the demo version of your life.
The real game starts the moment you pick up the controller…
And choose you.
Stay uncommon,
David
